  I just wasted my time. I recently went to this Bank to cash a check issued by them. Due to their 2016 policy they no longer cash checks unless you have a account with them. This policy is irrational, the check says Union Bank with their logo .I could understand not cashing another banks check but this one was issued by them.

  Shame on you! Last year I wired money, but the teller typed mistakes twice. Another time I asked teller to correct the name of the cashier's check, but she refused and insisted me to go back to Little Tokyo branch that issued the check. The traffic was very bad that day, it took me about two hours to get there and I got a ticket. Little Tokyo branch told me that any branch could do it. I complained to the manager, he felt nothing just said that he would coach his staff. I said the he should coach his staff before he put her at the counter and caused clients trouble. Then I received a letter from the branch to investigate my transactions. However the branch did not tell me which transaction had problem but simply asked me how much did I make per month. I only had a checking and money market accounts. Why? Then the branch closed my account, even I asked the branch to write down exactly what transaction was wrong and what information they want and I would provide. But branch said that I am risky and closed my account. Then I received an email to confirm the transaction I make to close my accounts online that I did not make. If I did anything illegal Union Bank should report to FBI not just closed my account without stating any facts then sent me an email to confirm that I closed my account on line myself which I did not do. What a shame of Union Bank???
